Holy smoke! What was Jack Wilshere thinking?

A picture of Jack Wilshere has started doing the rounds since Wednesday night in which the Arsenal star is seen smoking during a night out.

The most important reaction to the picture of them all has, of course, been that of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. In his typically Le Profeseurish manner, Wenger surprised no one when he came out and said that he found the behaviour completely unacceptable and absolutely revolting.

Jack Wilshere himself, in the midst of trying to clear himself from all the smoke surrounding him, tweeted this photo from his Twitter account.

That’s Zinedine Zidane by the way smoking a cigarette. For those who didn’t get the not-so-subtle-message in that, Jack Wilshere=Zinedine Zidane. Jack was trying to suggest that like the French maestro, he can set things alight not just on the football pitch, but elsewhere too. Jack did make an honest and brutal comeback with the following tweet.

Sorry Jack, but guess humour ain’t your forte!

For the uninitiated, Arsene Wenger has a strict no smoking policy at the club and this latest transgression from Jack, apart from landing him in a heap of trouble, is also set to get some cash flowing into Per Mertesacker’s pockets.

His chances of captaining the Arsenal side in future are also said to have gone up in smoke.
