Honduras name 23 man squad for the FIFA World Cup
The Honduras coach Luis Fernando Suarez has not tinkered much and retained most of the squad which helped Honduras qualify for the World Cup.
The six players based out of the United Kingdom in the Honduras squad are Hull defender Maynor Figueroa, Stoke midfielder Wilson Palacios, Wigan duo Roger Espinoza and Juan Carlos Garcia, Celtic’s Emilio Izaguirre and Rangers’ Arnold Peralta.
Honduras have been drawn with France, Ecuador and Switzerland in Group E and open their World Cup against France on the 16th of June.
Goalkeepers: Noel Valladares, Donis Escober (both Olimpia), Luis Lopez (Real Espana).
Defenders: Brayan Beckeles (Olimpia), Emilio Izaguirre (Celtic), Juan Carlos Garcia (Wigan), Maynor Figueroa (Hull), Victor Bernardez (San Jose Earthquakes), Osman Chavez (Qingdao Janoon), Juan Pablo Montes (Motagua).
Midfielders: Arnold Peralta (Rangers), Luis Garrido (Olimpia), Roger Espinoza (Wigan), Jorge Claros (Motagua), Wilson Palacios (Stoke), Oscar Garcia (Houston Dynamo), Andy Najar (Anderlecht), Mario Martinez (Real Espana), Marvin Chavez (Chivas USA).
