Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to date, Manchester United have enjoyed a five-match unbeaten run and tasted victory in all five games since Jose Mourinho's sacking last month.

Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and most recently Championship side Reading in their FA Cup third-round clash this past weekend, the style and manner of their wins has been clear for all to see.

The players themselves are performing with more freedom in the final third under Ole's guidance than they ever did under Mourinho - Paul Pogba has netted four goals and created three more in his last four appearances. As for Marcus Rashford, the 21-year-old took 18 shots all season prior to Ole's appointment and has already equalled that number in just four games under new management.

Romelu Lukaku has scored three in as many games and with Alexis Sánchez returning to match fitness, United's frontline are capable of dismantling any team across England's top-flight. They have scored 16 and conceded three in their last five matches - while defensive concerns are still a factor - it won't be much of a problem if they outscore their opposition.

It's still early days but Ole seems to have brought back the old swagger, instilling the winning mentality in first-team players which they desperately longed for. United supporters now go to matches expecting to see goals, action and be entertained by the style of play, which is reminiscent of their old glory days.

What's next?

If Ole's able to succeed in bringing United back to the top-four places and take them further in the cup competitions, perhaps the Red Devils have found their own version of Zinedine Zidane.

While tougher tests lie ahead for his side, starting with an away trip to Wembley with Tottenham on Sunday, it'll be interesting to see how the players react against better opposition.
