Cristiano Ronaldo said that he is very happy at Real Madrid and wants to repeat the achievements of 2014 in the current year. He, however, refused to rule out another challenge in the latter stages of his career.

When asked in the press conference before the Ballon d’Or award ceremony if he would be interested in another challenge in the future, Ronaldo reiterated his happiness at playing for Madrid, but, said only God knows the future.

He said, “Nobody knows. Only God knows the future, but I’m very happy at Real Madrid. I signed a new deal one year ago, but in the future you never know.”

“Want to do in 2015 what we did in 2014”

Cristiano Ronaldo revealed his ambitions from the new year for his club Real Madrid.

Ronaldo said, “The aim in 2015 is try to do what we did in 2014 - to win important titles for the club, maintain the high demands set by the club and make it to the most important dates at the end of the season.”

He was asked about how he feels to be at the Ballon d’Or ceremony with a really good chance of winning the award for the third time in his career and equalling the likes of Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini and Marco van Basten.

He said, “It's a culmination of a lot of situations. To enter into the list of the best players ever, I am certain I am going to achieve that. This is my eighth year here in Zurich and all three of us want to win.

“It makes me proud and it motivates me - I want to carry on like this.”
