James Kithan (8/10): The man of the match today was superb. Had he not been at his best the scoreline could have been much bigger in favour of East Bengal.

Nongkhlaw (6/10): The right back of Churchill wasn’t up to the mark today, as the likes of Katsumi and Salam Ranjan ran riot through the right wing.

Monday (6/10): Monday had a torrid time to keep Plaza quiet today. He tried every trick in his bag to keep the Trinidad and Tobago striker at bay, but failed miserably.

Suraj (5.5/10): In all true sense, he was schooled by the likes of Plaza and Amna. Suraj was often seen on his knees while trying to keep Plaza at bay. Suraj also had problems with his clearances as they often landed at the feet of the East Bengal players.

Denechandram Meitei (5/10): Meitiei was completely overrun by Danmawia and Prakash Sarkar today, and he failed at nearly everything he tried. He was poor while going on the offence and was abysmal while defending. He was rightly substituted during the half time break.

Kalu Ogba (7/10): The best midfielder for Churchill, this veteran of Indian football was brilliant today he did the dirty work for Churchill with conviction and also set up some delightful balls for his forwards. The resurrection of Churchill’s game today was also due to the fact that Ogba was playing in the middle of the park.

Nicholas Fernandes (7.5/10): Nicholas had a very good game, not because he scored a good goal, but because of his overall gameplay. He chased half balls and didn’t give the East Bengal players much space and time on the ball.

Israil Gurung (6.5/10): Israil had a good game as his set pieces and crosses were of supreme quality. He also provided the assist to Peter, who opened the scoring for Churchill. Israil, though, could have done much more while defending.

Peter Omoduemuke (7/10): Scored a brilliant goal, to open the scoring for the night. Peter tried his best to control midfield but came up short in front of the likes of Amna and Lobo.

Eric Obinna (5/10): Obinna was rarely seen with the ball today. He tried to help Uttam Rai up front but failed miserably. He was kept under close check by Eduardo and he failed to test the East Bengal defence or goalkeeper.

Uttam Rai (6/10): The most lively attacking player for Churchill, Uttam looked dangerous with the ball on multiple occasions. He also kept Arnab Mondal busy all through the 90mins as he hassled and harried the Indian national team defender and never shied away from a tackle or two.
