Romelu Lukaku, the 20-year-old starlet has been having an impressive season on-loan from Chelsea in Everton. The player has scored 4 goals in 6 appearances for the toffees.
He recently compared his performance to compatriot Christian Benteke and has said that he’s as good as the 22-year-old.
“I have had to be patient at times. But throughout the last performances with Everton and with the national team, I think it’s now a bit equal, ” told the 20-year-old to Everton TV.
“There is a rivalry but I always like to look at myself first, to try to improve myself and do the best for my team,” he continued.
“And if there is competition, it can only improve you as a player. The way he’s playing, it has motivated me to do better and show my qualities when I’m playing for Everton,” said the Belgian.
