The heart of the matter

Currently, Pynadath is plying his trade with the Ajax youth team with whom he made his first appearance in 2016. His younger brother also plays for the Ajax youth team.

His goal that secured the U15 pro division title was one of the top 10 goals of the year for Ajax in the 2016-17 season which speaks a lot about his talent.

He has played for USMNT in a U15 tournament in Croatia before, and has some international experience. His impressive performances in the tournament has led to his selection for the Sports Chain tournament.

The tournament starts on 15 April 2018 at Benicassim and ends on 22 April 2018.

The junior tournament will be a huge boost for the Indian U16 team who need the right exposure after their group stage exit in the recently concluded U17 World Cup.

Author's take

Work permit issues led to Joshua's Real Madrid exit but he has proven his worth in the Ajax youth team and should continue to make both USA and India proud.
