Steven Gerrard’s Liverpool career broken down into numbers

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard recently announced that he will be leaving the club in the summer. The midfielder, who retired from international football after the World Cup to concentrate completely on his club career, was offered a new contract by the club, but did not accept it, as he said he wished to experience something new.

Although he was unable to win a Premier League title with Liverpool, he did win a host of other honours, which include the 2005 Champions League win, FA Cups in 2001 and 2006, League Cups in 2001, 2003 and 2012 and the Uefa Cup in 2001. He played a total of 695 games for the Merseysiders and scored a total of 180 goals across all competitions.
