Udanta Singh's situation has been similar for a couple of years now. He's brimming with potential, but his final ball has let him down more often than not. Therefore, this past week has been a critical one for the Manipuri winger at Bengaluru FC.

In both games against Goa and Jamshedpur, he was decisive, he was quick as always, and he was playing dangerous balls for the likes of Sunil Chhetri and Manu Onwu to attack.

He even got himself a superb goal, as he used his pace to get on to an Onwu flick-on, used his skill to flick it over Mourtada Fall's head, and then most importantly, kept his cool to knock the ball past Mohammed Nawaz in the Goa goal.

Piti

Starting in midfield, just behind striker Sergio Castel, Piti pulled the strings brilliantly, and although he had no goal and just a single assist to his name in the two games against Hyderabad and Bengaluru, his performance was every bit as influential as Castel and Farukh Chaudhary, who have been amongst the goals in Jamshedpur's impressive start to the season.

His passing was crisp and direct, he had seven shots and four of them were on target, from encouraging positions.

His set-piece delivery is also a huge asset to his side.

Xisco Hernandez

The Odisha no.10, who has made the move from Bengaluru, has already scored more goals for his new team than he did for Bengaluru all of last season.

He's got two goals in two games, the first with a deft near-post flick to pull Odisha back level, before they lost to NorthEast United.

Against Mumbai City FC, Xisco scored one and set up one for Aridane Santana, apart from brilliantly pulling the strings from midfield, creating four chances for his team-mates.

With NorthEast United pulling off an impressive display to draw 2-2 with FC Goa, Redeem Tlang was a massive figure for the Highlanders again. He took his goal superbly, with a deft finish past Nawaz, and there was an immense impetus provided by him.

Tlang also was energetic, and the defensive aspect to his game was spot on, highlighted by his seven successful tackles in the match.
