Arsenal‘s rising star Jack Wilshere believes that there is a promising future in store for the England national team, TouchlineTalk reports.

Wilshere told BT Sport that he was not the only upcoming talent in English football, stating, “I think it’s not just me – there are a lot of other players such as Tom Cleverley and Jack Rodwell who are all gifted players who bring hope to England in the future.”

The 21-year-old has many years ahead of him to prove himself in English football, while drawing comparisons to England legend Paul Gascoigne.

When asked about this comparison, Wilshere said, “Although it’s a lot of pressure, I think that’s part of playing football and being part of the England team and people expect you to deliver.

“You have to live with the pressure and the criticism if you don’t deliver.”

The midfielder will miss England’s World Cup qualifying game against Moldova after being hauled off the pitch during the London Derby with stomach cramps.
