Liverpool target Jese Rodriguez left out by Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s Jese Rodriguez did not feature against Atletico Madrid on Sunday and [football] direct news understands that his future is unclear at the club.

The 21-year-old forward has been a revelation under boss Carlo Ancelotti this season and scored four goals in the space of 10 days in early February.

However, since the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, who was out through suspension, Jese has dropped down the pecking order in terms of playing time.

His 10 minute cameo against Schalke in the Champions League in midweek was a highlight of this, and he was made to warm the bench in Sunday’s Madrid derby for the full 90 minutes.

That has prompted the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Inter Milan to re-ignite their interest in the Spanish U21 international.
