Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard has the belief that the current Manchester United team is strong enough to go all the way and win the Premier League this season.

The youngster who has been enjoying a much more important role under new manager Jose Mourinho thinks that some of the new signings have raised the quality at the club compared to the previous season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are the newest members to join the Red Devils this summer. After a poor start to the season, Manchester United find themselves in the sixth spot behind Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and join leaders Chelsea and Liverpool.

They now sit eight points behind the league leaders, Liverpool.

However, Lingard still believes that the club can win their first Premier League title. “The players that have come in can help a lot; we’re still getting to know each other better, to learn off each other week in, week out,” said Lingard when speaking to the club’s official website.

“But with the four signings we’ve made, I think we have a strong enough squad to win the League this season,” he added.

Paul Pogba is one of Lingard’s favourites in the Old Trafford dressing room and its is no secret that the two are good friends.

“He’s a joker in the changing room, always dancing and trying to make you laugh,” said Jesse Lingard. The two have been seen celebrating their goals with a dab.

“We have a good bunch of lads, with good team spirit and I think that and take us to the top this season,” he said. The Red Devils return to the Premier League next weekend as they host Arsenal, who has been in fantastic form lately. The Gunners have however lost Alexis Sanchez to injury during a training session with his national team and will have to soldier on without him.

Manchester United have a few important fixtures coming up as they face West Ham, followed by Everton and Tottenham, both teams that have been in great form this season.

While West Ham are not having a great season in the Premier League, Manchester United could drop points against Everton and Tottenham, who have been in and around the top four since the start of the season.
