Joachim Löw names Germany squad for Ireland and Sweden qualifiers

Germany coach Joachim Löw has named his xx players squad for the final 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ireland (October 11) in Cologne and away to Sweden (October 15) in Stockholm.

Another win from these two matches and Germany would be qualified for next years 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which is the aim for Joachim Löw and his side.

The big question was in the wake of injuries to main strikers Miroslav Klose (SS Lazio Roma) and Mario Gomez (AC Fiorentina), if Stefan Kießling (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) would make a comeback into the squad but that has not happened as Löw only has picked Max Kruse (Borussia Mönchengladbach) as an out and out striker.

Meanwhile Ilkay Gündogan (Borussia Dortmund) and Lukas Podolski (FC Arsenal) continue to be out due to injuries, while Marcel Schmelzer (Borussia Dortmund) is out of the tie and is replaced by Marcell Jansen (Hamburger SV).
