Jose Mourinho believes Cristiano Ronaldo lost emotional control in Euro 2016 final

Mourinho attacks Ronaldo again

Mourinho has blasted his former player once again for a bizarre reason The Portugues manager has elevated his distaste for Cristiano Ronaldo by launching another attack on the 3 time Ballon d' Or winner. The manager earlier snubbed him in his list of the three greatest players of all time.

There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight of the feud between the two and Mourinho continues to hurl words of anger towards one of his countrymen. HIs latest rant is about the player’s actions in the UEFA Euro 2016 final.

Ronaldo’s match was cut short early after he limped off the field with an injury in the first half. But he tried to do everything he could from the sidelines to help his teammates. IN the final moments of the final when his team were holding on to the slender lead they had, the 31-year-old acted as part time manager giving instructions to his team.

Jose has attacked Ronaldo regarding those actions saying he was not in control of his emotions. According to a report in Portuguese paper Record, he spoke about the former United man’s actions.

"Cristiano Ronaldo didn't help in any way by doing that in the final few minutes of the Euros final. There were 11 players on the pitch doing their job, and the person in charge of directing them was the coach. I saw it as an overload of emotion from someone who saw that the team was just minutes away from achieving an objective which everyone wanted.”

It’s a very bold statement from the manager when most people saw his actions in a different way. Even his teammates. praised the Real Madrid man explaining how he motivated his team and also giving support to his youngsters.

The Ronaldo-Jose relationship probably took a turn for the worse in the manager’s last season at Real Madrid, with reports of friction between him and many of his players. The same thing happened with Chelsea last season.

The club were in the doldrums after a series of poor results in what was the worst title defence in the history of the Premier League as the Blues eventually ended in 10th. There were a lot of rumblings about the players having a falling out with ‘The Special One’.

Now he has a new start with Manchester United. Having already made 3 signings and with Paul Pogba rumoured to be joining the Red Devils in a few days time they will be a force to be reckoned with next season.
