Rumour: Julian Draxler wanted Arsenal move but Schalke blocked it

This is probably one of the worst transfer windows for Arsenal in recent years. They just managed to sign Kim Kallstrom who is believed to be injured already. Their main target was Julian Draxler from Schalke, but the move failed to materialize.

Latest reports suggest that Draxler was very keen on moving to Arsenal, but Schalke rejected the move.

Jan Aage Fjortoft former player who works in German TV tweeted,

In other Arsenal news, new signing Kim Kallstrom will miss next few games with a back injury. With Ramsey out for 6 weeks and Flamini suspended for 3 games, this is indeed a blow for the gunners.

Draxler just been on Sky saying that he could have left, had great offers, but at the end Schalke-boss Heldt said no
