Juventus wants to sign Brazilian Gabigol, say press reports

Turin, July 26 (IANS) It seems that Juventus's efforts to support their attack will not stop at signing Argentine footballer Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for a potential 94 million euros ($103.4 million).

Currently, the Bianconeri is also looking to sign Brazilian Gabriel Barbosa 'Gabigol' in the next few hours, according to press reports.

Gabigol, currently at the Brazil training camp before the Rio 2016 Olympics, may halt his training to discuss the Juve move with his agents, the daily AS reported on Tuesday.

His Brazilian side, Santos, has accepted an offer of 20 million euros ($22 million) from the Italians, but the distribution of the money may cause a bit of a problem, reports Efe.

Santos owns only 40 percent of the player's rights, but the release clause in his contract allows the club to take 18 million euros ($19.8 million), leaving only 2 million ($2.2 million) for Gabigol, who must now decide his future.
