Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 8 (IANS) The Jatayupara Adventure Park in Kerala -- the first of its kind in the state -- is ready and promises to enthrall and thrill all adventure lovers.

The park, located around 35 km from here, offers around three dozen world-class activities to those wishing to take a break from the daily routine.

Set among hard rocky mountains 1,000-feet-tall and spread out in around 20 acres of land, this adventure centre is part of the Jatayupara Tourism Project (JTP) built under the watchful eyes of noted sculptor and film director Rajiv Anchal.

Among the various activities that are available at the centre that has been tastefully designed without disturbing the environmental aspects include paint ball, laser tag, archery, air-rifle shooting, mountain biking, rock climbing, bouldering, zip line, kids recreation with trampoline, and rappelling, among others.

Speaking to IANS, Anchal said on Monday that he wishes to call it an adventure training centre, rather than a park.

"This is a training centre as, after arriving here, one would be able to perform all the activities under the watchful eyes of trained experts in mountaineering and a good number of adventurous events," said Anchal.

He said this is basically an activity centre to relax and soothe stressed minds and they expect the huge IT professional community besides all fun and adventure loving people to enjoy every minute they are in the centre.

"All the safety aspects are taken care of and we have made no compromise in any aspect. Everything is there in the centre and once you step in, you will not have to go out for anything and you will need to leave only when you have finished the day's activities," added Anchal.
