Klaas Jan-Huntelaar is a Holland-internatonal forward that plays for Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga. He is 28 years old and was born on the 12th of August, 1983 in Voor-Drempt in the Netherlands. Huntelaar has played 32 games this season, scoring an amazing 29 goals. He is also the top scorer in the Bundesliga (the first Dutch player to get top scorer) just in front of Mario Gomez with 26 goals, which is an outstanding achievement as Mario Gomez has been in prolific form this season.
His last game was against Werder Bremen which Schalke won 2-3, allowing Huntelaar to get two goals in the last game of the season. He also got 4 hat-tricks in total this season.
Huntelaar is also the main striker for Holland where he competes with Robin Van Persie, and in most cases, out plays him.
Huntelaar’s last goal for Holland was against England when they won 2-3 at Wembley. He has scored 31 goals so far for Holland in the past 3 years, compared with Van Persie who has scored 25 goals so far. The reason Arsenal should get Huntelaar is because if Van Persie signs another contract with Arsenal, then he will partner German striker Podolski and fellow Dutchman Van Persie.
Also, since Huntelaar and Van Persie are both from Holland, that will give the strikers amazing chemistry if Arsene Wenger decides to play them both along with Podolski. That also will mean Arsenal’s defenders don’t have to bomb forward as often to try and grab a goal for the team.
But if Van Persie doesn’t sign a contract, then Huntelaar and Podolski will still do the job as Arsene Wenger would then focus on strengthening the team’s midfield.
So overall, Huntelaar would be a very good buy for Arsenal as there are worries that Van Persie won’t sign a contract, and if he doesn’t, Arsenal would, and could, probably get the goal-grabbing Dutchman, who’s highly tipped to leave Schalke this summer.
However, there could be some worries on whether he can settle in the Premier League or not, especially after his failed stints with top sides, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Despite that, I still believe that Huntelaar would do well with the Gunners and can be a major hit in England.Written by Dudi IromlouFollow me on Twitter @Iromlou Please like O-Posts on FacebookFollow the site on Twitter
