Real Madrid supporters were on cloud nine lately as Cristiano Ronaldo signed a new deal to stay at the Bernabeu until his 36th birthday if he stays with the Los Blancos to complete his contract. The contract runs through 2021 and puts to bed every rumour that has been speculated over his future. In the new deal, Real Madrid have revealed the financial details which will see Cristiano Ronaldo earn a whopping figure.

Ronaldo's previous deal was set to expire at the end of the 2017-18 season but now he has expressed desire to end his playing career with the Los Blancos. Ronaldo’s annual compensation from salary and bonuses is expected to be similar to his earlier contract at more than $50 million a year before taxes. If he stays with Real Madrid till 2021, Ronaldo will complete 12 years with the giants of world football.

The Portuguese superstar is set to pocket a stunning sum of £365,000 per week which is similar to his previous contract. This news comes just after the renewal of Gareth Bale's contract as the Welshman also signed an extension till 2022 and will earn more than $40 million annually before taxes.

Ronaldo was crowned the top-earning athlete in the world in June with total earnings of $88 million, including salary and bonuses of $56 million according to Forbes. The Portuguese also earns a cool $32 million per year from endorsements with his partners including the likes of Tag Heuer, Herbalife, Pokerstars, Clear Shampoo and many more.
