Thomas Vermaelen out for a month
Barcelona have confirmed that Thomas Vermaelen will be out for a month following an injury sustained during the win over Levante. The Belgian defender has a torn muscle in his right calf.
The game on Sunday was only his 6th appearance this season but he could not make the most of the opportunity in his hands. he got injured in the 52nd minute after starting the game and was replaced by Arthur.
Barcelona agree deal for Christensen
Barcelona have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea for Andreas Christensen as per reports in Don Balon. The Spanish publication reports that the Danish defender will join in January and stay at Camp Nou until the end of the season.
They claim that Blaugrana's top target for De Ligt but Ajax are not willing to let go of him until the end of the season. They have now turned to Christensen and want him as Umtiti's replacement for the rest of the season.
