Barcelona hold talks with De Ligt's agent
Barcelona have made their first big for Matthijs De Ligt according to reports in SPORT. The Spanish publication claims that the Catalan side have held talks with the Ajax star's agent, Mino Raiola.
The 19-year-old is said to be Blaugrana's top target right now and they are doing all they can to secure the signing. Manchester City have also been linked with the defender who has been slapped with a €65 million price tag by Ajax.
Samuel Umtiti set for knee surgery
Barcelona might be without Samuel Umtiti for a very long time after it was reported that the defender needs a knee surgery now. The Frenchman underwent treatment to regenerate the cartilage last month, but this does not appear to have worked.
The Catalan side are now looking to sign a replacement for him in the summer and De Ligt is said to be their top target. Chelsea's Christensen and former Chelsea player, Branislav Ivanovic have also been linked.
