Athletic Bilbao confirm interest in Manchester United star
Athletic Bilbao have confirmed that they are looking to sign 4 of their former players soon. The club's sporting director, Rafael Alkorta was speaking to Cadena Ser when he revealed the news.
“We are interested in Javi Martinez, Ibai Gomez, Ander Herrera, Fernando Llorente ... we are interested in all of them. Any player who can represent Athletic (through their Basque roots) will interest us and players in that quality bracket interest us, so yes,” said Alkorta.
Javi Martinez and Ander Herrera have been featuring often for Bayern Munich and Manchester United respectively but aren't starters. They are used in big matches or when another player is injured.
Ibai Gomez has been playing regularly for Deportivo Alaves and has been very impressive. He has been linked with a move to Leeds United but Bilbao might snatch him before the Championship side make a proper move.
Fernando Llorente, meanwhile, has been benchwarming at Tottenham every since he moved there. The Spaniard is reportedly looking for a move away and Bilbao might just be his next destination.
“We are aware none of these deals would be easy but we are interested in exploring the possibilities of what we can do. We have not made any moves yet but we will get to work this week and get going on these fronts.” added the sporting director.
Ernesto Valverde is reportedly looking to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, will Bilbao be looking to get him back as well?
Alvaro Morata to Sevilla?
Marca are reporting that Alvaro Morata's agent is reportedly in talks with Sevilla regarding a move to the Spanish side this month. The Chelsea striker has not been playing well and the Blues are looking to sign a replacement for him.
However, reports suggest that Chelsea rejected an offer from Borussia Dortmund for the striker earlier this month. It is not clear if the Premier League side are keen on keeping him until the summer or were not happy with the amount offered by the German side.

Barcelona star agrees to join Arsenal
According to reports in SPORT, Denis Suarez has given Arsenal the green signal for his transfer to the Emirates. The midfielder was made available by Barcelona earlier this month and was linked with Chelsea and West Ham United as well.

Real Madrid are looking to sign a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos and have decided to spend big. Florentino Perez has reportedly decided to make a move for Barcelona and Manchester United target, Kalidou Koulibaly.
Mirror report that Madrid are preparing a £90 million move for the Napoli star. The bid, if accepted or not, will be a world record bid – beating the £75 million Liverpool paid to sign Virgil Van Dijk.
Koulibaly has been a rock at the back for the Serie A and the main reason for their impressive defensive records under Maurizio Sarri and Carlo Ancelotti. Chelsea were keen on signing him last summer but Napoli were adamant on keeping him at the club.
