Toulouse slam Barcelona over Todibo transfer

Barcelona announced the signing of Todibo last night and that has not gone down well with the Ligue 1 side. The French defender will be joining the Catalan side on a free transfer in the summer after his contract at Toulouse expires.

The French club's president, Olivier Sadran has slammed the Spanish side over their arrogance in signing the defender. He believes that they should have not announced the signing as it will disrupt the club's performance in Ligue1.

“They haven't behaved like a big club. And also, it's extraordinary: they declare the player will be with them in July, but I don't know anyone who knows what will happen in six months,” Sadran told L'Equipe (quotes vis Marca).

“Life can spring surprises on you, even the most uncomfortable ones. It shows their arrogance, it's to insult life to say what we will do. From a big club, it's not very gracious, even if, legally, they had the right to do it. We also have some of the responsibility.”

“For me, football is an ecosystem where each club plays its role, there are big clubs, clubs that bring through youngsters. From my point of view, the player has been badly advised in the sense he has 10 ten Ligue 1 matches under his belt. Barca also haven't lived up to what they should be,” added Sadran.

Barcelona are also on the verge of announcing the signing of Adrien Rabiot from PSG in a similar manner. His contract at the Ligue 1 champions expires at the end of the season and reports suggest that he has agreed a deal to join the Calatan side.

Atletico Madrid have decided to sell Gelson Martins according to Cadena COPE. The Spanish side have lost patience with him and are looking to cash in on a player they signed for free in the summer.

Another winger they signed in the summer was Thomas Lemar but Diego Simeone is ready to keep him at the club. The manager insists that they must be patient with him and he will become a very important player for them.

“Thomas Lemar? He is a very important player for us, that’s for sure. He didn’t play his best game for us the other day against Sevilla and we decided to substitute him, but his performance was certainly improving in that one game too,” Simeone told reporters.

“He is a player who we have to be patient with because he has outstanding ability and it is an adaptation process for him, he is a very important player for us. We are confident that when it is necessary in the Copa del Rey or the Champions League, we will find the Lemar we need,” added the manager.

Real Madrid are on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Luka Modric and they have some interesting names on the list. Tottenham's Christan Eriksen was said to be the top target till now but there has been a dramatic change.

With Spurs reportedly demanding over £150 million for the Danish midfielder, Madrid have turned to Sergej Milinković-Savić. The Lazio star is now the main target according to Don Balon.

Milinković-Savić has been a target for Manchester United for a long time and the Red Devils were said to be extremely keen on signing him under Jose Mourinho. However, things have changed now and they have to fight Real Madrid if they are still interested in signing him.

The Lazio star has gone on from being one of the most sort-after players in the top 5 European leagues to one who is living in Lucas Leiva's shadow now. However, Madrid are willing to pay €120 million to sign according to the report in Don Balon.

Neymar has finally taken a decision over his future at Prais Saint-Germain and it is not one that will please the Ligue 1 side. The Brazilian has decided that he wants to leave the club and head back to Spain.

However, the move to Real Madrid might not be on the cards as well if reports in Diario GOL are to be believed. The former Barcelona star wants to return to Camp Nou and only if they do not take him back, he will consider a move to Bernabeu.

Reports in Spain, meanwhile, claim that Neymar has already held talks with a Barcelona scout, Andre Cury regarding a move back. The €222 million signing for PSG wants to return after 2 years at the club as he is now in the shadows of Kylian Mbappe.
