Last Season:

The 2010/11 season for the L’equip blaugrana was another glorious one as they went on to win the La Liga with considerable ease by winning 30 of there 38 games and only losing 2 of there games. They had an absolute dominant squad last season with the likes of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Pedro plus new additions such as David Villa from Valencia, Javier Mascherano from Liverpool and Adriano from Sevilla in the summer and Ibrahim Affeley from psv in the winter transfer window by the newly elected president of the club Sandro Rosell.

They had an amazing Gd of +74 and out of which 62 Goals was scored by the trio comprising of Messi,Villa and Pedro. They continued to deliver dominating performances throughout the league, but the highlight of their dominance was the 5-0 thrashing of Real Madrid at Camp Nou, which was one of the best performances by any team last season. In The Uefa Champions League, they easily went through the group stages by winning 4 games and drawing two other and topping their group.

In The Round Of 16, they met Arsenal for the Second Time Running in the Uefa Champions League and though lost 2-1 at the Emirates, showed their dominance yet again at Camp Nou where they won 3-1 in which Arsenal only had 1 Shot on Target. In the quarter finals they faced Shakhtar Donestsk and also convincingly beat them 6-1 on aggregate. In the semi final, they Faced Arch Rivals Real Madrid, and they won the first leg 2-0 in a highly controversial match in which both the teams players and manager(Jose Mourinho) got Red Cards on both off and on the pitch, and the Barcelona team was highly criticized for play-acting by Jose Mourinho.

However they eventually won the leg 3-1 on aggregate after drawing 1-1 at Camp Nou in the 2nd Leg, they went on to the final in which they would face English Champions Manchester United. They totally dominated the Red Devils in the whole match and won the tie 3-1 through goals from their attacking trio of Messi,Villa and Pedro and assists from Xavi,Iniesta and Busquets. After the match both the managers and players of the United Team agreed that they had been beaten by the ‘Best Team In The World’ and there is still a debate whether this Barcelona side is the best ever and how will thy be stopped?

Thaigo Played A Vital Role In Barcelona's Pre Season

Barcelona started off their pre season in the Audi Cup which took Place in Munich and they drew there first match against Internacional 2-2, but went on to win it on penalties. They faced Bayern Munich in the final which they won 2-0 through a brace from Thiago Alcantra. There next match was a friendly against Man Utd in Washington which they Lost 1-2,in which Thiago scored a good goal. After that they faced Mexican Club Chivas in the world football challenge which they lost 4-1 which was an absolute shocker for everyone. After that they recovered and won the next match they played which was a friendly 2-0 vs America of Mexico.

Barcelona’s Pre Season Stats:

Matches Played:5

Won:3

Lost:2

Goals Scored:8

Goals Conceded:8

They had a dismal outing in the Pre Season, but they did’nt have there star players like Xavi,Messi,Alves,Masherano and will Bounce back and Show There Dominance Yet again In La Liga.

The Talisman:

Well Although Barca Have The Best Midfielder, one the best defenders in the world, one of the best goalkeeper in the world, There Talisman will always Remain The Best Player In The World Lionel Messi. He’s At His absolute peak now and will show the world More Magic this season and will also want to be ahead of Arch Rival Christiano Ronaldo in the top goalscorer race and will surely get many chances this time.

Possible Formations:4-3-3

This Is The Formation Barcelona Play In which helps them play There ‘Total Football’ and toatally dominate the opposition from the 1st minute to the last. Dani Alves most of the time comes from defence to help the attack and you can see him give many assists.Pep Guardiola Loves This Formation and plays this most of the time if not anything like a red card or something like that.So I Expect Them To Play In This Formation in this Season and Keep on dominating the opposition.

Least Targets:

There Targets for this season will be the La Liga and Uefa Champions League at the least and also win the Club World cup and the Uefa Super Cup. They will also try and give it there best in the Spanish Fa Cup and all the other competitions they play in this season and will not let Arch Rivals Win Any More Trophies this season so that they could be called the Kings Of Spain. There will be tough Competition from Real Madrid in the League as they also have made good Signings this summer and want the La Liga Trophy very Badly. And Competition In Europe is always tough,as the teams playing are all A Class teams.

Now After The preview to there Season,Let Us See what FC Barcelona can do and how they can show there Magic Football To Us This Season.
