Real Valladolid CF v FC Barcelona - La Liga

Barcelona get back to LaLiga action at the Camp Nou following more than a week of rest. Ernesto Valverde’s side won 1-0 against Real Valladolid last weekend in what was a really poor performance. Almost every Barcelona player was subpar in that match and will be hoping to make amends against SD Huesca on Sunday evening. Let us take a look at the probable lineup of the defending champions of Spain.

Defence

Marc Andre Ter-Stegen was one of Barcelona’s most important players last season and is going to have all of Valverde's support this season. The German looks ready to start between the sticks. Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are likely to partner one another at the centre of defence, with Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto expected to play as the full backs. Barcelona’s defence had a horror show last weekend and will be hoping for a much better performance this time.

Midfield

FC Barcelona v AS Roma - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Leg One

Barcelona’s midfield has been the talking point this summer after various exits and incomes. However, one man who has firmly hung on to his place is Sergio Busquets. The 30-year-old looks like a strong candidate to start at defensive. Ivan Rakitic was one of Barcelona’s worst performers last weekend but is still likely to start this one. The Croat will be playing next to Arthur Melo in high likeliness, as the new signing has been tipped to get his first start against LaLiga’s debutant.

Attack

FC Barcelona v Juventus - UEFA Champions League

Lionel Messi has two goals in LaLiga but was practically invisible against Valladolid last Saturday. However, he is expected to score a few against Huesca on Sunday and is an indispensable option to start. Luis Suarez seems to have lost his scoring touch since the start of the season, however, he still has his boss’ faith and might start the Huesca clash with Ousmane Dembele set to continue on the left winger.
