Real Madrid bought the versatile defender, who can play as a center-back or as a right-back, for a fee of around €50 million. Eder Militao moved to Porto last year and helped them reach the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

The Brazilian averaged 2.1 tackles and 2.2 interceptions per game in the league last season. He is quick across the turf and good with his tackles. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet and has a good range of passing. He is just 21 and will only get better with minutes on the pitch.
