Bartomeu wants LaLiga matches abroad

LaLiga have been trying their best to convince FIFA and UEFA to sanction a match in the USA but they have just not got the permission. The plan was to have Barcelona's match at Girona in the USA but both clubs decided not to go.

However, now Barcelona president, Josep Bartomeu has confirmed that he wants them to play THREE matches abroad. “If we want La Liga to be strong, we are to play in these games,” Bartomeu told BBC Sport.

“At Barca, we have sometimes been talking to La Liga and have been telling them that if you want to promote La Liga more and more, then we should have three games of the year outside - one in America, one in the Middle East and one in Asia.”

“We have to go and be closer to the fans. We do the summer tours in July and August to go closer to the fans. It's us showing respect to them, going to Miami would have been respectful to our fans in the USA,” added the president.

Real Madrid eye Paul Pogba

Real Madrid are keen on strengthening their midfield and have set their sights on a few players. Reports in Spain now suggest that Los Blancos have turned their attention to Paul Pogba.

The Manchester United star was on the verge of leaving under Jose Mourinho but decided to stay after the sacking of the former Chelsea manager. The 13-time Champions League winners are keen on signing him and are ready to break the bank for him.

Ronaldo wants Barcelona star at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo has left Real Madrid but is keen on weakening their rivals. Reports in Spain claim that the Portuguese star has asked Juventus to sign Jasper Cillessen from the Catalan side.

The Dutchman has not been playing at Barcelona as Ter Stegen has sealed his place in the starting XI. Despite having Wojciech Szczęsny and Mattia Perin in the Juventus squad, Ronaldo wants the Turin side to sign another goalkeeper.
