Barcelona's kit for next season has apparently been leaked
Barcelona’s leaked kits for the 2017/18 season

Spanish newspaper Sport have released new images of Barcelona’s rumoured kit for the 2017/18 season which has apparently received a nod of approval from the kit manufacturers Nike.

Reports from Sport claim that the Barcelona hierarchy have been in talks to finalise the new kit since February this year and the end result has got the Barca fans buzzing with excitement ahead of the new season.

The most remarkable change has come in the form of new shirt sponsor Rakuten, who will bring an end to the 7-year association with Qatar Airways. Rakuten’s deal with Barcelona is set to begin in the 2017-18 season and last for four years.

According to reports, the deal will earn the club at least £188m in that time which is subject to steep rise if Barcelona win the Spanish championship or the Champions League.

Barcelona’s 2017/18 home strip filled with vertical lines

The most obvious feature of the new Barcelona home kit is the numerous vertical lines running down the top. Catalan clubs have opted to go with vertical lines in their home kits in recent years and the trend is set to continue in 2017/18 season.

The away & third kits

Barcelona’s away kit is strikingly similar to Manchester City’s current home kit, however, Barcelona’s third kit is almost similar to AS Roma’s home jersey. One common factor between Barcelona, Manchester City and AS Roma are the kit manufacturers Nike who will be making kits for all three teams next season.

Will MSN wear the new kits next season?

With Barcelona already looking forward to the next season and looking set to announce their new kits for the next season, the biggest question for the club supporters will be to see if the holy trinity of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar (MSN) remain at Camp Nou and dawn the new kits.

Rumours have emerged in recent weeks about Barcelona not being able to keep hold of all three superstars next season. Neymar has been linked with a £180 million move to Manchester United while Lionel Messi has strongly rejected a new deal and is looking for a new challenge in his career.

Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and even Chelsea are preparing a massive £200million bid for the Argentine next summer. Amidst the uncertainties, Barcelona fans are not quite sure whether to cherish the release of new kits for 2017/18 or worry about the possibility of losing one of the three wheels driving their club towards success.
