#3 Sadio Mane breaks goal drought for Liverpool

Sadio Mane has largely had a season to forget for Liverpool, with this being unarguably his worst campaign in a Reds shirt.

He came into Monday's game having not scored in his last 10 games for the Merseyside giants but ended his long goal drought with an easy tap-in.

The Liverpool number 10 would not score an easier goal than that in his career, with Meslier's hesitation leaving an unguarded net behind him. Incredibly, this was only his second goal of the calendar year.

Mane seemed gutted to depart the field for Mohamed Salah in the 71st minute but having rediscovered his scoring boots, the Senegal international will be keen on continuing in that vein for the rest of the season.

#2 Impressive Leeds United good value for the point

Leeds United have been one of the most dynamic sides in the Premier League this season. Under Marcelo Bielsa's legendary coaching, the Whites have impressed with their expansive style but are as guilty of thrilling attacking football as they are of defensive frailty.

The Elland Road side simply do not know how to be conservative, with their games always going full throttle one way or the other.

Both sides of their game came to the fore against Liverpool, with several defensive errors, particularly from Meslier putting the hosts under pressure.

They, however, rode their luck and reseized the initiative in the game, ending the second half on a stronger foot.

Several good chances fell the way of the hosts, particularly to Patrick Bamford, but the former Chelsea man failed to take them.

In the end, it took a header from a defender to snatch a point, but this was no less than the hosts deserved for what was a dynamic performance.

Liverpool's front trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have played a key role in re-establishing the Reds at the summit of the global and domestic game.

Their almost telepathic understanding of one another's movements was a nightmare for opposing defenders, and this expectedly led to loads of goals being scored for the club.

Two of the three have performed significantly below par this season, with Salah the sole ranger flying the Liverpool flag in front of goal.

Nevertheless, their quality is not in doubt, and Mane's opening goal against Leeds United means that the trio have now reached 300 goals scored for Liverpool between them.

Salah expectedly leads the way with 122 goals for the Merseyside outfit, while Mane's strike on Monday took him to 94. The longer-serving Firmino rounds it up with 84 goals for Liverpool.
