UEFA Champions League: Legia Warsaw 3-3 Real Madrid: 5 Talking Points

Real Madrid played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Legia Warsaw

#4 Warsaw may have won it if their fans were present

The game was played in an empty stadium due to sanctions imposed on Legia by UEFA

Legia Warsaw are infamous for their violent supporters but is also one of the most difficult places to go for an away team.

The Warsaw fans create an atmosphere which can be compared to the Europe's best and is an intimidating place for visiting teams. As a result of a number of UEFA sanctions, tonight's game was played in an empty stadium barring some 150 Madrid supporters.

This was a match and a result that will be in the memories of Warsaw fans for a long time but it was a shame that their own fans could not be a part of it. After going ahead after 80 minutes, the home fans’ noise and intimidation could have proved vital as Real may have buckled under that pressure.
