Manchester United:

David de Gea: 6/10

United's Spanish shot-stopped ended the season with a reassuring clean sheet
United's Spanish shot-stopped ended the season with a reassuring clean sheet

Largely untested throughout the game, the Spaniard overcame a couple of nervy moments in the first half and stood firm to keep yet another clean sheet.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 6/10

Another accomplished performance from the young right-back, who continues to develop the offensive side of his game while excelling in the defensive department.

Victor Lindelof: 5/10

Did well to mark Vardy out of the game for most of the 90 minutes and brought the ball out from the back well. Picked up a booking for a cynical foul on the Leicester frontman.

Harry Maguire: 5/10

The subject of one of the most talked-about transfers this season between these two sides, Maguire was reliable in defence but picked up a booking in the first half for a rash challenge.

Brandon Williams: 6/10

Yet another impressive showing from United's teenage left-back
Yet another impressive showing from United's teenage left-back

The youngster put in yet another tenacious performance at left-back to cap off his breakout season, making several strong tackles in different parts of the field.

Nemanja Matic: 5/10

A couple of sloppy giveaways in the first half and a cynical foul that earned him a booking soured a typically assured performance from the Serb, who played the role of a defensive midfielder exceptionally well.

Paul Pogba: 6/10

Although some way off his dominant best, the Frenchman was a commanding presence for United in midfield, often leading the transition from defence to attack with his trademark range of passes that usually found their mark.

Mason Greenwood: 5/10

Seeking to become the highest-scoring teenager in a single season for United, Greenwood was rather starved of the ball as Leicester put in a disciplined defensive shift.

Was taken off for Lingard after United took the lead and will have to be content with being abreast of Best, Kidd, and Rooney in that illustrious list.

Bruno Fernandes: 6/10

The form of United's big January signing has tailed off in recent weeks as his usual pin-point passes regularly found an opposition defender.

Crucially for United, however, he was nerveless from the spot when it counted, taking his United tally into double figures.

Marcus Rashford: 6/10

Enjoyed an engaging battle with Justin on United's left flank, forcing the young defender into a few errors but failing to get past him with too much regularity.

Anthony Martial: 6/10

Another gritty and determined performance from Martial in that number 9 role, not qualities that one would expect him to exhibit. Put himself about and earned the crucial penalty for his side.

Substitutes:

Jesse Lingard: 6/10

Lingard scored United's second goal to kill off the tie

A tough Premier League campaign ends on a high note for Lingard, who scored United's final goal of the season after robbing Schmeichel of the ball and finishing into an empty net.

Scott McTominay: 5/10

A late substitute, the young Scotsman threw himself into several tackles with typical gusto during his short spell on the pitch.

Odion Ighalo: N.A.

Thrown on for the last few seconds, Ighalo got involved in a scrimmage near the Leicester City goalmouth that could have led to something promising but ultimately came to nothing.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah: N.A.

Did not touch the ball after coming on in the dying embers of the game.
