David De Gea - 5/10

There is an argument to be made that De Gea could've saved both goals, and more so the second one. The ball trickled towards goal after the deflection off Tuanzebe, but the Spaniard didn't even make a movement towards it.

Victor Lindelof - 5/10

Starting in an unfamiliar position at right-back, Lindelof really didn't have a happy time defending against the speed of Barnes. He eventually had to be taken off to be replaced by Tuanzebe in the second half.

Eric Bailly - 5/10

This was another performance from Bailly that had both good and bad. He should've gotten out quicker to block Barnes's shot for the first goal, and then been closer to Vardy for the second.

However, he did play the telling pass that broke the Leicester lines to find Cavani, who found Fernandes for Manchester United's second goal.

Harry Maguire - 6/10

Neither goal came through any fault of his, even though he found himself in an awkward clearing position just before the first Leicester goal. He will be miffed about letting the ball from Perez come into the box.

Luke Shaw - 7/10

Shaw had another very good game on the left flank. He should've had an assist in the first half, when Fernandes missed a great chance from his free-kick.

Fred - 7/10

That Maddison had no opportunities to create goal-scoring chances was down to Fred's persistence and his brilliant defensive play against the Englishman.

Scott McTominay - 6/10

After the high of the brace against Leeds United last weekend, this was a more subdued performance from McTominay. He did come out second best in the midfield battle against Tielemans.

Daniel James - 4/10

James had a couple of excellent opportunities to set up big Manchester United chances on the break but fluffed his lines both times.

Bruno Fernandes - 8/10

A goal and an assist, on just another day at work for Fernandes. He probably didn't mean the touch that took the ball to Rashford for the first goal, but his finish for the second goal was sublime.

Marcus Rashford - 6/10

Rashford really should have had a hat-trick. He missed a free header from point-blank range in the first half. In the second half, he should've given Schmeichel no chance to save after going through one-on-one. His goal was well taken though and was his 50th in the league for Manchester United.

Anthony Martial - 4/10

Martial was almost non-existent. He was brilliantly marshalled by Fofana.

Substitutes

Paul Pogba - 6/10

Pogba replaced James early in the second half, and played on the left wing. He didn't really have any impact though.

Axel Tuanzebe - 6/10

Even though the second Leicester equaliser was registered as a Tuanzebe own goal, it was through no fault of his.

Edinson Cavani - 7/10

This was another bright substitute's performance from Cavani. His movement to receive the pass from Bailly, and then the delicate through-ball to Fernandes were delightful.
