Liam Brady to resign as the Head of Arsenal Youth Academy by 2014

By 2014, the former Arsenal player Liam Brady will resign from his post of Head of the Club’s youth academy. To make sure that the 53-year old will be engaged in some way or the other with the club, Arsenal has examined the possible roles than can given to him.

The club’s chief executive, Ivan Gazidis said that “Liam has a deep understanding of what it takes to discover and develop a talented youngster into someone who can perform at the highest level.”

“He has made a massive contribution to Arsenal. It will be difficult to find a worthy successor but we will be looking for someone who can build on what Liam and his team have created.” He also said.

Brady was just studying in school when he started working with Arsenal in the year 1973. Before his career came to a stop at West Ham United, he played for Italian clubs like Juventus, Sampdoria, Internazionale and Ascoli.

Before he took control of Arsenal, Celtic and Brighton and Hove Albion are some of the clubs that he handled. He also brought in many top level players such as Jack Wilshere and Kieran Gibbs and also England defender Ashley Cole.
