#2 Best league

This might irk a few, but it can’t be denied that La Liga is the best league in the world. Now, some might claim that there isn’t enough competition in Spain and, hence, it can’t be labelled as the best. Well, in that case, the Segunda – the second division of Spain – should be given the tag of the best in the world due to the fact that 10th placed Tenerife are only 7 points behind current league-leaders, Huesca.
Putting banter aside, despite the fact that Spanish teams – save Barca – haven’t done so well in the Champions League this season, Spain are still the reference point for others. And there is a good reason for it.
The last time a non-Spanish club won the Champions League was four years ago in 2013 when Bayern Munich lifted the title. Since then, it has been a total Spanish domination with Real Madrid winning it thrice and Barcelona once while Atletico Madrid also appeared in two finals.
In short, Messi is the best and should be playing in the best league because that’s where he belongs and that’s where he should be!
