On yet another night when Barcelona was trailing by a goal going into the second leg, a 22-year-old Lionel Messi gunned down the Gunners, all alone. A second leg at Camp Nou in which Arsenal would have been counting the minutes down to just go to the dressing room and sit down, without Messi lurking nearby.

Manuel Almunia had no answers to the shots that Messi fired past him on the night.
