Lionel Messi celebrates with his team mates after scoring his first goal

Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez starred for Barcelona as they completed a 7-0 drubbing of Valerenga in a pre-season friendly in Oslo. The Catalan side fielded the same playing 11 that went down by two goals to nil against Bayern Munich, couple of days ago.

Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring for the Blaugrana side in the fifth minute of the game as he slotted the ball home with a left-footed strike into the bottom corner. Cristian Tello doubled the lead the very next minute, and Lionel Messi slotted one in seven minutes later, to add up with the assists for both the goals scored before, as Barcelona were 3-0 up within 13 minutes to put Valerenga out of the game effectively.

Jonathan Dos Santos scored towards the end of the first half, in the 42nd minute, as the Catalan side ended the first half leading by four goals to nil. Meanwhile, Valerenga had not tested Pinto at all.

As the second half started, Barcelona had substituted Oier Olazabal for Jose Pinto, Sergi Samper for Alex Song and Jean Dongou for Messi. Dongou, the highly rated 18-year-old Cameroonian, made his mark on the game immediately by scoring goals in 52nd and 56th minute, both assisted by Sanchez.

Valeranga finally started to show their presence in the game, as Barcelona changed the entire playing eleven, bringing in flurry of youngsters, after the sixth goal. However, they did not have anything to show for it. Joan Roman netted the final goal of the match in 85th minute as the game ended 7-0 to Barcelona.
