With Salah and Firmino out of form at the start of the season, it was Mane who banged in the goals for Liverpool and kept them in touch with Manchester City at the top of the table. He scored a brace in the Reds 4-1 thrashing of Cardiff City last time out.

Against Fulham, he was one the best players on the pitch continually threatening the Fulham goal and keeping Rico modest throughout the game. He could not score today, but his build-up play with Salah and Firmino was great. Klopp needs Mane to keep this form going as the season will be long, and his performances will be crucial in games to come.
