#3 Salah couldn't find the net himself, but did enough to win the match for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah started as the right-winger in Liverpool’s customary 4-3-3, but roamed around freely in the opposition half as the match progressed. He got a few opportunities to score, but couldn't convert them.

Salah has now gone eight matches without scoring a goal, and Klopp would be praying for an improvement in his form.

However, Salah did not disappoint at the end, and was at the appropriate position to meet Alexander-Arnold’s ambitious delivery into the Tottenham box. His header from close range was too powerful for Lloris to grip, and it ricocheted off Alderweireld to cross the goal-line.

Salah looked more relieved than joyous, as most of his teammates surrounded and hugged him. Anything less than three points would have been detrimental to Liverpool’s chances of winning the title, and Salah’s timely header actually kept his side well and truly in the title race.
