Mohamed Salah was in the thick of the action once again as Liverpool registered a routine victory against a hapless Arsenal side.
Although Liverpool went into the interval with a 1-0 goal courtesy of a Joel Matip goal, Salah was relatively quiet as Arsenal kept him at bay.
The Egyptian came out all guns blazing in the second half and made a defining contribution as Liverpool continued their perfect start to the Premier League season.
After being brought down by David Luiz in the penalty area, Salah himself stepped and converted the spot-kick in emphatic fashion to put the Reds 2-0 up.
Later in the second half, Salah put the game beyond reasonable doubt as his sensational solo strike virtually sealed the game for the home side.
