Liverpool defender Jose Enrique out for 10 weeks

Liverpool’s Spanish defender José Enrique is out for 10 weeks.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique will miss 10 weeks of action after he underwent knee surgery. The arthroscopic surgery on his right knee was a success but he will not be able to join the squad at least until February.

His last appearance for the Merseyside club was in early November against Fulham when an injury he suffered in an earlier game against Crystal Palace recurred. The 27-year-old left-back has only started six Premier League games for Liverpool this season.

A club statement said, “Enrique is expected to return to full training at Melwood in around 10 weeks’ time.”
