Rumour:Liverpool eye shock swoop for Barcelona attacker Pedro

Pedro
Pedro: Barcelona future up in the air

Liverpool are lining up Barcelona forward Pedro in an audacious summer swoop, but the Catalans are happy to let him go, according to the Mirror.

Pedro’s future has been uncertain for a number of months now as he seems unsettled at a lack of permanent starting opportunities at Barcelona, but due to the form of Alexis Sanchez, Gerardo Martino could not afford to drop him out of the side.

It is thought that Liverpool have been following his situation closely and could make a swoop for his signature over the summer to bolster their attacking options ahead of a big season and a return to the Champions League next season.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he is willing to spend big to recruit the best players possible for Liverpool and Pedro is thought to be high up on his list. In positive news for Rodgers and Liverpool, Barcelona are apparently open to selling the Spanish forward as they look for a huge overhaul of the squad.

Apparently, Pedro has been told he is free to leave the Catalan club and, if further evidence was needed, Pedro was not included in the picture that revealed Barcelona’s kit for next season.
