Liverpool legend and one of the most lethal modern game poachers, Robbie Fowler has just landed in Asia. The Merseyside hero has signed for Thailand based side Muangthong United thus becoming the star sensation for the whole Thai league. The 36 year striker who was earlier associated with the Australian outfit Perth Glory has decide to move to a new country once again. This comes after the player enjoyed two successful stints with Aussie sides Perth Glory and North Queensland Fury scoring 9 goals for each of them. The Thai club side were more than just happy in accepting Fowler with the club manager Ronnarit Suewaja stating –“He agreed to join Muangthong United as a forward .I’m confident that the Thai football will improve as a player like him has agreed to join us “. The Thai side have also succeeded in signing another English Premier League player in the form of Zesh Rehman, the Pakistani international who played for Fulham FC in his heydays .

Ex-Liverpool man Fowler does not look like hanging his boots soon but also has a dream to coach his boyhood club once. Fowler has coaching license and did help out the Liverpool team’s strikers in April this year . The player who has spent more than 17 years of his life playing for Liverpool FC wants to give more to his local club .He stated his wish saying

“If I’m being honest I would love to (come back to Liverpool one day) but it’s not really my choice!

“If I could walk there tomorrow I would but it’s not the ideal world as we all know.

“Eventually that is obviously the aim to try and get back there and be a part of that club again because I was there since I was 11 and it’s a big part of my life.”
