Liverpool are still keeping busy in the transfer market despite the season ending just over a week ago.

The Reds are currently embroiled in negotiations with Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana, after a £20 million bid was rejected recently by the Saints for the England internationals services.

It was suggested that the south coast side were holding out a figure more in the region of £25 million which could have pushed Brendan Rodgers’ men away, however, the Reds are still in negotiations for Lallana’s services. Talks are expected to continue over the coming days as both sides try to reach an agreement.

However, Liverpool are reportedly ready to listen to offers for Daniel Agger according to the Liverpool Echo. Agger admitted he was frustrated at Liverpool after insisting he did not want to be third-choice next season.

Agger has struggled for first-team football this season, with Rodgers preferring Mamadou Sakho, when fit, and the ever-present Martin Skrtel.

The 29-year-old has attracted attention from Italian side Napoli, who are managed by the man who brought Agger to England in 2006 – Rafa Benitez. The Spaniard is keen for a reunion and after previously being linked with a move for Skrtel, he may opt for Liverpool’s vice-captain instead.

Daniel Agger won 45/70 headers in the Premier League this season.
