Martin Montoya has said that he is happy at Barcelona and is under no pressure to sign a new deal anytime soon.

The highly-rated 22-year-old right-back’s contract runs out in the summer and he is yet to agree to an extension, throwing his future up in the air with many top clubs around Europe interested in acquiring his services.

Liverpool are among the teams wanting to sign Montoya but he is relaxed over his future.

He is enjoying life at Camp Nou and feels he can benefit from training alongside Dani Alves.

“There is no hurry for me to sign a new deal,” he told reporters after the 4-0 win over Elche on Sunday.

“Now I am at the best club in the world and I learn each day from Dani Alves.

“I believe that the negotiations are on the way but without pressure.”

Talks are expected to take place this week with Montoya and his agent as well as Barcelona’s sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, who is keen to sort Montoya’s future out quickly.
