Klopp: "My iPad is filled with potential signings"

Jurgen Klopp has made a brave statement regarding Liverpool's transfer market activity after his side's shock loss against Swansea City in the Premier League last weekend. The Liverpool boss admitted that there are a lot of potential targets in the market at this point of time but at the same time reaffirmed the fact that the Reds won't be preparing any further bids.

Liverpool were given a huge blow with the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona and the arrival of Virgil van Dijk to Merseyside meant that the fans had an interesting transfer window in January. However, Klopp has cleared all the uncertainty surrounding the issue and said, to Goal.com:

"Our situation is always the same, we really look (for players) all year. So why should I stop now only because January 31st is nearly here?."
"We do that all the time. Nothing has changed. The only thing is with one or two players we maybe have to make a decision is it for now or is it for the summer? That's the only difference." Klopp commented.
"But look, we are constantly looking, my iPad is full of players from all over the world. That's what we do. But specific? No. It is not that we now say exactly that we need that or we cannot play football any more."

According to reports in the Metro, Liverpool have made an offer for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore. The Argentine is reportedly on the verge of leaving the Parc des Princes this month after falling down the pecking order at the club.

Pastore has put a number of clubs under alert with his situation at PSG and if reports are to be believed, Liverpool have identified him as a potential replacement for the outgoing Emre Can.

Liverpool and Tottenham have already made offers around the region of €25 million to €40 million for the player but it is rumoured that Pastore prefers a switch to the Serie A with Inter, who remain interested in the player.

If the recent reports are anything to go by, Pastore's agent is currently in Milan to try and squeeze out a deal for the wantaway midfielder and the Reds will have to act fast if they are to get their man.

Pastore has made over 248 appearances for PSG ever since joining them back in 2011, notching up 44 goals to his name.

Liverpool are close to agreeing an initial loan (with a further option to buy) deal with Inter Milan for Daniel Sturridge, according to reports from CaughtOffside. The Englishman has been touted with a move away from Anfield for quite some time now and it seems as if the club has finally received the right offer to let their man go.

It is rumoured that Sturridge will join the Serie A giants on loan in the coming days with an option to make the deal permanent for a reported fee of £25 million in the summer. The clubs have apparently reached an agreement in terms of the fee, and are now waiting for the player to make a decision regarding his future.

Sturridge has attracted interest from the Premier League as well with the likes of Southampton and West Ham willing to take him on loan until the end of the season. However, the teams are likely to come short in the race for his signature due to his hefty wage cap.
