Mido confirms Real Madrid's interest in Salah

Mido believes countryman Mohamed Salah is ready for Real Madrid

The former Egypt striker played for Tottenham and Middlesbrough among other English clubs during his playing days and recently saw his countryman eclipse his goalscoring record to become the top-scoring Egyptian in the Premier League. Now, the 35-year old all but confirmed Real Madrid's interest in the Liverpool man when, according to reports from The Independent, he said:

“Real Madrid want him, and we have all seen the poor performances of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema with the 4-4-2."
“I was afraid that Salah might fail at Liverpool, but I think he is ready to jump to the next level. Real Madrid would be able to use his strengths."

Mido went on to praise Salah's ability and achievements even more and said:

“I know many people will disagree with this, but in my opinion, Mohamed Salah is the best player in the history of Egyptian football."

Along with all the high praise, the comments will also be a cause for concern at the Merseyside club. If Real Madrid really are in for the player, then it could be another long summer for the Reds as they will do everything in their power to retain their star man.

Jorginho drops huge transfer hint of a summer move to Liverpool

Jorginho drops huge transfer hint on social media

The Napoli man has been linked with a move to England and Liverpool in particular, with Manchester United and Arsenal also reportedly interested. The Italy international plays in the no.6 role for Maurizio Sarri's side and has flourished in recent seasons.

His ability to pick passes and intercept opposition play makes him a perfect replacement for Emre Can, who is expected to depart in the summer as his contract comes to an end.

Now, Jorginho has dropped a huge transfer hint as to which English club he would prefer to join through his Instagram activity. The 26-year old 'liked' a video linking him with a move to Liverpool, sparking excitement from the Reds' fanbase.

While this does not confirm anything, it is significant that the player in question has given a positive reaction to a post which speaks about a potential transfer. While Liverpool do have a bad experience from signing Italians in the past with Alberto Aquilani being a prime example, Klopp's transfer record at Anfield makes the deal look likelier to happen.

Thus, Liverpool fans will now have to wait and watch to see whether they can land Jorginho this summer and strengthen their midfield.

Marko Grujic expected to make a huge impact next season

Grujic still has a future at Liverpool

The Serbian failed to make it into Jurgen Klopp's first-team squad on a regular basis since he joined from Red Star Belgrade in 2016. Subsequently, the 22-year old was sent on loan this January to Cardiff City in the Championship until the end of the season.

The lanky midfielder has finally found his mojo in Wales and has been putting along a string of good performances for his new club. Now, Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is following Grujic's performances at Cardiff and expressed his confidence that the youngster will make an impact at Anfield in the coming seasons. He said, as per reports from Liverpoolecho.uk:

“I'm really glad for Marko that it is going well at Cardiff and hopefully they will be in the Premier League next season. He hadn't been playing here and is still young so I think it was the right decision for him to go to Cardiff to get some minutes on the pitch."
“I saw his goal against Barnsley and I'm really happy for him that he is doing well there. Going from the Serbian league to Premier League was a big step for him so I think the first year-and-a-half was about adaptation."
“Hopefully he will be fine for next season to play a big role here because I know the manager is thinking about him for the future.”

Thus, Lovren does reveal that Klopp has plans for Grujic which should spell good news for the on-loan midfielder and he could prove to be a quality addition to the Liverpool squad next season.
