Liverpool have a deal in place for Thomas Lemar

According to Yahoo Sport, Liverpool have already made a deal in place for AS Monaco sensation Thomas Lemar. The Frenchman has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League with a number of clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal being interested in acquiring his services.

Liverpool had offered a £75 million bid for Lemar in the summer but Monaco were reluctant to sell their star man for that kind of money and were quick to rebuff the bid. It is believed that Arsenal's recent acquisition of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United now leaves Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool as the prime contenders in the race for the talented winger.

Monaco are reportedly holding out for a fee around the region of €100million and it is rumoured that the Ligue 1 giants are willing to give the green signal only in the summer and the deal could easily come down to Liverpool's patience in pursuing their long-term target.

Liverpool are now set to open talks with Gremio over the possible transfer of Brazil international Luan, according to reports. The Brazilian is being courted by a number of clubs in England following his impressive performances at the Copa Libertadores. The 24-year-old was named as the player of the tournament after notching up 8 goals in 12 appearances as Gremio went on to win the 2017 edition of the prestigious tournament.

Luan signed an improved three-year extension with Gremio back in November and has a reported €18million release clause attached to his contract. If the reports are to be believed, Liverpool are willing to trigger the player's release clause in the summer as they prepare to let go of both Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings to make way for their new signing.

The striker was recently voted as the South American Player of the Year and made his full international debut for the Selecao last January when he came on as a substitute for Diego Souza in a 1-0 friendly game victory over Colombia.

Liverpool will battle Everton for Ezri Konsa

Liverpool are now preparing to go head to head with arch-rivals Everton over the possible signing of Charlton Athletic wonderkid Ezri Konsa, the Mirror reports. Konsa impressed during the England U-20's triumph at the World Cup held in South Korea last year and has been a consistent performer for League One outfit Charlton in recent times.

Charlton boss Karl Robinson had earlier admitted that the player is one of the brightest prospects in the country and he could well be on his way out of the club sooner rather than later.

“My gut feeling is that he will go in January,” said Robinson. “If I was him I’d be looking to go in January but we should look for £5m minimum. Maybe we could try for a loan back but the player has to want that."

If the reports are anything to go by, Charlton are willing to listen to offers around the region of £5 million for the youngster and Liverpool believe that they can pair him up with Joe Gomez, a product of the Charlton academy, in the future.

However, the persistent interest from Everton, who previously snapped up Ademola Lookman from Charlton a year ago, will complicate things considering the fact that the Toffees sent chief scout Martyn Glover to watch Konsa last month.
