Liverpool courting Toni Kroos

According to a report in the Spanish publication Diario Gol, Liverpool are now looking at acquiring the services of Real Madrid play-maker Toni Kroos. The German is reportedly unhappy with how the season has panned out so far this year at the Santiago Bernabeu and is even willing to seek greener pastures in the near future.

Jurgen Klopp is on the lookout for reinforcements in midfield after the departure of Philippe Coutinho and Emre Can's contract situation isn't helping him much either at this point of time. If the reports are anything to go by, Liverpool will look to make an audacious offer in a bid to try and tempt the German international to make the switch to Anfield.

However, Kroos is one of Real Madrid's most important players and it is understood that the Los Blancos are under no pressure to sell their star man in January.

World Football Index's Colombia correspondent Simon Edwards has confirmed that Liverpool have agreed on a deal to sign highly-rated Colombian youngster Anderson Arroyo after he impressed during a trial with the club. The pacy full-back had come down for a trial with Liverpool in 2016 during their tour of Germany and the Reds have been keeping tabs on his development ever since then.

Arroyo continued his steady development with Colombian second-division outfit Fortaleza and earned himself another trial with Mallorca in December. Liverpool were quick to notice that the youngster is a star of the future and have now signed him up on a permanent deal, according to the reports.

It is rumoured that the Colombian will be loaned out to Spanish second tier side Mallorca to gain enough experience by playing regular first team football and also because he is currently not eligible for a work permit in the UK. Arroyo will fulfill the requirements for a European visa if he completes 2 years of regular football in Spain or even lesser if he qualifies as part of the exceptional talent exemption.

Liverpool will have to fend off interest from both Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur if they are to complete the signing of Kwang-Song Han from Cagliari, according to Calciomercato. The North Korea U-19 international has been impressive on loan at Serie B side Perugia, netting 7 goals and providing 3 more for his teammmates in 17 appearances so far this season.

The striker has emerged as a potential target for Liverpool mainly due to the situation of Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge, after both of them have somewhat made their intentions clear about leaving Anfield this month. Han is likely to see out the remainder of the season at Perugia but it is rumoured that the North Korean is set for a sensational move in the summer.

Cagliari will reportedly settle for a fee around the region of €20 million for the striker but Liverpool will have to face stiff competition from Serie A champions Juventus, who are now willing to offer Alberto Cerri as a part of the deal to try and steal a march on the race for his signature.
