Liverpool transfer news: Real Madrid favourites to sign Salah, Reds agree deal with Premier League star, and more, 20th March 2018

Salah to join Real Madrid's summer rebuilding?

Bookies believe the Reds cannot keep Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian has surprised everyone including himself with the season he is having. Incredibly quick, Messi-esque left-foot and world-class consistency have helped Salah on his way as he looks to break several goalscoring records before the season ends. Further, he is leading the race to win the Premier League Golden Boot as well as the European Golden Shoe.

Such form is difficult to go unnoticed and bookies believe Real Madrid are favourites to sign Salah after just one season at Anfield. BetStars spokesman Ian Marmoin spoke about the situation and said:

“Liverpool’s Egyptian maestro Mohamed Salah is being tipped for a move to Real Madrid in the summer, with Los Blancos the clear favourites to sign the forward. Salah’s outstanding first season at Anfield has put a host of top European clubs on high alert and it is Real who are leading the chase with odds of 2/1 to sign the 25-year-old."
“Salah’s form has not gone unnoticed by Real’s fierce rivals Barcelona and we have the Catalan side priced at 5/1 to bring the Egyptian to the Camp Nou. Paris Saint-Germain, who have already spent a large outlay on forwards in recent years, are next up at 6/1."

Thus, the links have begun with two months of the season left and Liverpool fans will be hoping Jurgen Klopp and the owners have a plan to keep their best players this time around.

Liverpool agree personal terms with Wilfred Ndidi

Leicester City v Sheffield United - The Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round
The next African to join Liverpool?

The Nigerian was brought in at Leicester City after N'Golo Kante left for Chelsea. The 21-year old has took to the Premier League like a duck to water and has brought the defensive stability in midfield back for the Foxes. Now, Jurgen Klopp is interested in adding the talented midfielder in the summer with personal terms already agreed.

Guinean journalist, Alpha Balde, who was the first to break Naby Keita's move to Liverpool, also confirmed that Ndidi has already agreed personal terms.

The journalist said:

"Ndidi approached by Liverpool. The player has agreed. It remains to reach an agreement with Leicester, who are demanding a lot"

Thus, Liverpool have another huge convincing act coming up in the summer with Leicester if they want to land Ndidi and it could prove to be another long transfer saga for the Reds.

Emre Can reveals Guardiola role behind leaving Bayern Munich

Liverpool v West Ham United - Premier League
Can
reveals
the crucial chat with Guardiola

The 24-year old came through the ranks at Bayern before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2013 in search for first-team football. While Can eventually joined Liverpool and has blossomed into a fine midfielder, a return to Bayern is never far away for any player from Germany.

Now, the midfield dynamo revealed the crucial conversation with Pep Guardiola, who was the Bayern manager then, when he was asked whether he had any regrets of leaving Die Roten:

"No, definitely not. Today you can see that it was the right decision. At that time it was like this: Pep Guardiola has come, and I have played a good preparation under him. Then we had a very, very honest conversation."
"I was very young and it was important for me to play a lot. He told me honestly: 'I cannot guarantee you now that you will play every week'.Then I saw the opportunity in Leverkusen. They also played in the Champions League. For many it was a step backwards. But for me it was a step forward because I always played in Leverkusen. Today you can see that it has paid off."
"I would not say that (Bayern made a mistake). Whether they have made a mistake, they have to decide for themselves."

In hindsight, Can did not take a bad decision as he is on his way towards becoming a top player, be it at Liverpool or elsewhere.
