Liverpool submit bid for Thomas Lemar

According to Sky Sports sources today, Liverpool have submitted a bid for Monaco's Thomas Lemar. The Reds have bid around £55.5 million for the Monaco winger but the French champions are yet to accept or reject the offer as per the report.

Arsenal were rumoured to be in talks with Monaco to sign Lemar all summer while Barcelona were also tracking him. Monaco, earlier last month, stated that they would not sell any more of their players after losing Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy to Manchester City and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea, while interest in their other top players continued.

However, Liverpool have now emerged as favourites for Lemar's signature with their latest bid. The talented 21-year-old winger scored 12 goals and racked up 10 assists in 39 appearances for Monaco last season and has three years left on his current contract. He was also in the French national team's starting lineup in their friendly victory over England in June.

Renato Sanches to join Reds

Sky Sports today are reporting that Liverpool are favourites to sign Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old has become increasingly frustrated at Bayern with lack of first-team football ever since his £27 million move last year.

Chelsea and Monaco are two other clubs interested in signing him but Sky in Italy report that Liverpool are firm favourites to land his signature. Sanches, meanwhile, was left out of the Bayern Munich squad that faced Werder Bremen this Sunday so that he could have time to think about his future according to the report. Liverpool are to sign Sanches on loan from Bayern with an option to buy him later.

Liverpool cool interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain as Chelsea edge closer to signing him

Liverpool have cooled their interest in Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as per reports from Goal. The 24-year-old Englishman is on the verge of a move to Chelsea and according to reports, Liverpool have conceded to the fact that he wants to join the Blues at Stamford Bridge instead of coming to Anfield.

Liverpool were to rival Chelsea's £35 million bid and were favourites to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain for a while, but it now looks as though the player is prepared to swap London clubs and colours for Chelsea blue. The Reds are instead shifting their focus to Thomas Lemar as per reports in their search for a winger this summer.
